Publisher's Synopsis
This set of copymasters accompanies the second of a two book series studying some of the main religions in Britain today. Each book has 14 short units which develop a particular topic or theme with reference to one or several religions. The starting point in each unit is the evidence we can see around us - anything from buildings, ceremonies and monuments to dress, banners and shop fronts, thus encouraging pupils to search their own locality for clues and signs of religious activity.;Sets of pupil activities follow every unit and these are intended to help pupils to understand the key ideas in the unit. Extra pupil activities are provided in a separate set of linked copymasters. These contain ideas for research, practical work and project work, in and outside the classroom and also a set of teacher's notes. Although many of the activities relate directly to the two resource books, the copymasters may also be used independently.;The book is illustrated with photographs, most of them taken specially in a wide variety of rural and urban locations in the UK.
