Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Reflections on the Anatomy and Physiology of Some Parts of the Eye
Ex President of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, Vice President of the American Medical Association.
It is now nearly a quarter of a century since I published, in the American Journal of the Medical Science, certain anatomical and physiological re?ections on some important parts of the human eye; and I design, upon the present occasion, to reproduce for your con sideration these investigations in a more particular and, I think, at tractive form.
Especially do I do this because I recognize the fact that the epin ions I then expressed, are beginning to receive the sanction of the profession in Europe as well as in this country.
