Publisher's Synopsis
In this work, three practising teachers consider approaches to reading in a foreign language at intermediate and advanced level in schools and colleges.;The first charts the reading habits of a Year 9 set as they move from beginner to intermediate levels. The other two projects are concerned with the problems learners face in bridging the gap between GCSE and A Level, especially when encountering literary texts, and explore strategies which may help to overcome difficulties. Editorial comments place these projects into the context of the current debate on teaching.
