Publisher's Synopsis
I'd like to lead you through my personal book of poems written from my life's journey through the highs and lows, hills and valleys, desperately searching and crying out for the truth of my identity in God. If your life's journey has been filled with worry, fear, guilt, condemnation, and a deep desire to know God and to reach out and touch him, then I pray these poems will speak directly into your heart.
Have you ever felt your struggle between darkness and light? Between heaven and hell? Have you felt your soul being torn between one and the other? Have you cried out in desperation when life has made no sense and God seems to be far from your circumstance? Have you had a desperate desire to know God, only to be hounded by your failures and inability to meet him? Are you tired of the mundane and ordinary? Are you desperate for what only God can fill and for him to meet what no other can?
Heaven is real. Hell is real. Our souls are the prize for eternity. I pray that as deep cries out to deep, you will find meaning, direction, and connection as you walk with me on the journey of my heart's cry in the depths of my soul.
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor demons nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8: 38-39).
