Publisher's Synopsis
A few words about the Author: Although born in the deep South, the author's life really began on the streets of the South Bronx in the 1930's when he was 10 years old. His family of 4 lived in a run-down tenement building rife with cockroaches and rats. The rent was $28, barely within his father's budget. Frier lived there until he left college for the Air Force in 1951. While stationed in Germany, he earned his master's degree and accepted an offer by the Dean of the University College to join the faculty of the University of Southern California. While there he struck up a friendship with O. J. Simpson. Frier reveals a side of OJ that few are aware of. The author has been retired since 1988 and lives with his son and Golden Retriever in a suburb of Los Angeles. His wife of 64 years died of Alzheimer's in 2015.
