This book addresses the concept and practice of redemptive suffering while chronicling the life and death of a friend who, with her husband of forty years, allowed me to accompany her on her end-of-life journey and first hand understand the value of suffering and observe its redeeming effect. As Christians we are called to alleviate the suffering of others. Please join me in my quest to understand the value of redemptive suffering in the life of the Church and how uniting ones suffering by an act of the will in love with the sufferings of Christ can bring great grace, peace and joy and serve to participate with Christ in redeeming the world.
