Publisher's Synopsis
A more accurate elucidation of The Secret of the Golden Flower has been long overdue. Previous interpretations by scholars and laymen alike have been successful to a certain degree, but unfortunately the mistakes equal or outnumber the accuracies in every attempt. It is not out of hubris that I write these words, although it might seem quite the contrary; it is out of purpose I do this-and strange opportunity. Like a teacher disciplining his student, I critique, yet like a parent loving his child, I forgive and hope. Keenly aware of my own ignorance, I do not claim to know all there is or ever was, for you will soon discover, as I have, the breadth and endless mystery these experiences move you towards.
