(About the Author)
Steve Elliott was born in the countryside of Western Australia, went to university in Perth, and went on to become an exploration geologist around the world. His career choice instilled a persistent curiosity about the planet, the universe, and people, leading to the research that became this book. "I don't pretend that it has all of the known facts, as any such volume would fill several libraries. But I hope I have presented enough to make you curious." Today he lives in Perth with his wife Sally, dog Florence, and cat Smudge.
