The Poet:
Alexia Zakariya is 22 years old.
She is a graduate from Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Perforing Arts in Bethlehem, PA and she graduated as a Vocal Major.
Alexia got into Writing about the same time that she stumbled across music, they both were passions that went hand in hand.
They both were a true friend to her during hard times, and during the many joys of life.
Her biggest influences musically include: Tupac, Common, Nas, Lecrae, Mary Mary, Alicia Keys, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Whitney Houston, Teena Marie and Anthony Hamilton.
Poetically her influences are: Maya Angelou, Nikki Giovanni, Langston Hughes, Khalil Gibran, Tupac Shakur, Jill Scott, and Alicia Keys.
This is her first published book of work, and she looks to have more in the future.
The Artist:
Monica Brensinger was born in Allentown, PA. A prolific painter, Monica started painting at a very young age. Monica is a graduate from Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Performing Arts as an art major. Currently, she is in LCCC studying art at the Baum school of Art.
She has been painting for over 5 years. Her influences include: Jean-Michel Basquiat, Michaelangelo, Gustav Klimt, an Marc Chagall. Her future plans include: Contributing her art to more books, progressing in the arts, and to constantly learn and improve on her talent.
