Publisher's Synopsis

Excerpt from Radium, Vol. 1: July, 1922

Cysts. With regard also to cystic conditions generally, radium treatment is of little value, more especially if the cysts be large and tense. When favorably situated, however, removal of the contents of the cyst by incision or aspiration, followed by the introduction of radium into the cyst cavity, may be utilized to induce inflammatory adhesions of the cyst walls and so prevent its reappearance.
