Publisher's Synopsis
In 1951, radiosurgery was defined as a technique for accurately delivering a high-dose single fraction of radiation to a well-defined target. Since then, thanks to major technological advances, the general role for radio surgery as both an adjuvant and alternative to conventional neurosurgery has greatly expanded. There is a broad spectrum of radiosurgical techniques available, some of which offer important contributions to the clinician's ability to manage difficult intracranial lesions. These proceedings will provide a useful source of information for new participants in the field.
