This full colour, two volume text/atlas offers detailed presentations of normal structure in the growing child and adult, the major bone and cartilage dysplasias, trauma to bones and articular cartilage, arthritis, disorders of bone metabolism, the pathology of Paget disease, osteonecrosis, including Legg-Calve-Perthes disease infection, including pyarthrosis, and reactions to orthopaedic implants. Specific cases, with detailed descriptive captions, demonstrate pictorially the features of a given disease with 3,339 separate large format illustrations. These specimen radiographs are matched with both gross photographs (in colour) and whole-mount section photomicrographs (in colour) to allow for an excellent radiologic-pathologic correlation.
