Publisher's Synopsis

How can believers today express their commitment to Jesus in a way that is relevant and alluring? Ron Mahler reintroduces the early Church, whose people were so radical in every facet of their faith and ministry, as the ultimate example for Christians to emulate. The trail-blazing testimony of our pioneering Christian ancestors challenges us to imagine a time when faith and fellowship were not just about believing in certain doctrines and doing "Christian" things, but also about living like Jesus lived.

About the Author:

Ron Mahler is a pastor with over eighteen years of service in church ministry and an author of two previous books: My Fanatical, Regrettable Tour of Ministry and The Necessary Christian. Most recently he served for eight years as the founding pastor of Highland Lakes Community Church in Minden, Ontario, and as an adjunct faculty member of Kawartha Lakes Bible College in Peterborough, Ontario, where he taught courses about the New Testament, theology, and leadership. He is a graduate of Tyndale Seminary in Toronto, with a master's degree in Theology and Christian Foundations. Mahler brings a solid blend of practical ministry experience, academic study, love for the Lord, and passion for creative writing to this, his third book, the winning manuscript for Word Alive Press's 2015 Free Publishing Contest under the non-fiction category.
