Publisher's Synopsis
Since the 1990s, Rachel Harrison has developed a colorful and delightfully grotesque sculptural idiom out of the most contemporary detritus - such as styrofoam, plastic buckets and old vacuum cleaners - which she blends with slapstick humour and art historical and pop cultural references. This book presents sculptures and drawings from three recent series: The Help (2012), the large-scale installation Incidents of Travel in Yucatan (2011) and the photographic suite Sunset Series (2000-2012).
