Publisher's Synopsis
Unable to disguise themselves as humans while stranded in nineteenth-century Paris, Rubidoux is arrested by the French police and Xela absconds to the country, where she befriends a young boy who is attacked by a rabid dog, and she must return to the city to save his life.
