En 1957, el director soviético de origen ucraniano Grigori Kózintsev rodó la que se considera la mejor versión fìlmica del Quijote, con Nikolai Cherkasov (el Iván el Terrible de Eisenstein) en el papel protagonista. Fue la primera pelìcula soviética que pudo estrenarse en España, en 1967. La pelìcula

A MOVIE QUIXOTE.
In 1957, Soviet director Grigori Kózintsev, of Ukrainian origin, filmed what is considered the best movie adaptation of Don Quixote, with Nikolai Cherkasov (Eisenstein's Ivan the Terrible) in the leading role. It was the first Soviet film to be released in Spain, in 1967. The full movie is accessible through the QR code in the book.
