When famous producer Douglas B. Douglas launches his new musical extravaganza, BLUE MUSIC, he expects the packed theatre will be dazzled by the performance. What he isn't expecting is for his star Brandon Baker to be killed on-stage. While the shooting was in the script, the use of a real bullet certainly wasn't! Then the actor who fired the gun is discovered hanging in his dressing-room. It seems a relatively straightforward case of murder followed by suicide. But audience member Inspector Wilson of Scotland Yard is now investigating - together with Derek, his journalist son - and he believes otherwise...
