Publisher's Synopsis
This is a story about a puppy's journey and the insurmountable obstacles he encounters which threaten his young life. From the moment of his birth he must battle many forces in order to stay alive. He is on a quest to find love and acceptance. His struggle to survive is inspirational. The poem shows the connection between humans and other living beings in a world in which we coexist. It is written in poetic format in order to teach the young reader how to blend words and sounds together to create meaning. The colorful animated pictures allow the reader to match the visual action to the written word. According to the U.S. Humane Society, puppy mills/farms contribute to over-population of pets and cause countless dogs a lifetime of suffering in squalid wire cages. This poem is intended to bring to light the existence of such practices
