The book shares time periods of late 1700's to a little before the sixties with family and friends to the present time. I am writing this book to capture the experiences of the days gone-by. Every farmer and rancher has a story and these experiences must not be forgotten. Whether you're in the mood to laugh or cry there will be something for everyone. To remembering the simplicity of our daily lives of smells, sights and sounds that come alive from the way life used to be to the touching stories of the present. Sharing the rich history of Kern County towns of Pumpkin Center, General Shafter, Lakeside, Buena-Vista, Panama and Greenfield for these farm towns have become our homes and our road to life.
