The case of a terrified and abused patient turns into psychiatrist Ellen Roth's nightmare. The woman is afraid of being kidnapped by the bogeyman. She whispers it to Ellen and then disappears without a trace. No one has seen her or knows anything about her. Ellen wants to find her. But in trying, she finds herself involved in a macabre game that she doesn't know how to get out of to save the patient and herself. She can only try to fit the pieces of a diabolical puzzle.
