In fact, a survey shows that many forget their New Year resolutions after just 13 days. Why? The reason is simple. "It is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy" (Romans 9:16). This is not to suggest that setting goals is not a good practice. It is highly recommended. But the truth is that there's little we can do without some support.
