Publisher's Synopsis

Excerpt from Property Exempt From Taxation in the Forty-Eight States, Vol. 1

Hon. William H. Corbin, Tax Commissioner) Illinois. There is no doubt but that the amount of exempt property is increasing to such an extent that it is becoming a burden to taxpayers. (hon. James 1 Brady, Auditor of Public Accounts)
