Brief yet life-lingering moments, sparingly described with a a few choice words, conceived in the shadow of Portobello Road. After dropping out of art college, JC1/4 maintained a connection with the art world by performing poetry and music at exhibition openings in collaboration with artists and photographers. His poems have been displayed in The Victoria & Albert Museum in London as well as many other respected galleries. These along with his short stories have been published in hundreds of literary magazines including "Hard Lines" (Faber & Faber). With Steev Burgess, J.C. co-hosted and performed regularly as JC 1/4 in ground-breaking venues such as The London Musicians' Collective, The Clinker, The Frontline Theatre, The Slammer, and Pentameters, gaining acknowledgements in City Limits, Time Out and even Honey magazine. As a lyricist and singer he fronted a number of melodically dynamic bands, most notably: Contact Obsession, Individual Fruit Pie, and J.C. & Anphibius. His songs have been used on the soundtracks of feature films. Records and CDs, as well as live appearances in prestigious music clubs, at film screenings, and on radio and TV, have been enthusiastically reviewed in The Melody Maker, The New York Press and The New York Times. In recent years J.C. has established himself as a voice-over actor specializing in business films, animations, documentaries, and children's audio books. J.C. was born in London in 18--. He has loved it up and lived it down in London, Amsterdam, New York, and Los Angeles, and currently resides, once more, in Amsterdam with his wife Bunny, son NW3, and mews Boo.
