Publisher's Synopsis
A visual chronicle of the passion and creativity behind Project 270, a 2020 get-out-the-vote campaign from Mana Public Arts, featuring 65 posters by 70 established street artists. Ahead of the US presidential election in 2020, and with the intention of empowering young voters aged 18-36, Mana Public Arts (based in Jersey City, NJ) created Project 270, a public art initiative that enlisted nearly 70 established and emerging street artists to create posters encouraging viewers to Get Out the Vote. Each of the unique 65 posters created for Project 270 was impressed with a "postmark," representing each of the 50 states, Puerto Rico, Washington, D.C., and select major American cities. These compelling posters were distributed physically throughout those locations, and shared widely through social media channels. This book captures the fervor and dedication of those involved.
