Excerpt from Proceedings of the R. W. Grand Lodge of the State of Georgia: From Its Institution to the End of the Annual Communication, Held in Savannah, May, 1848
On motion, Resolved, That a committee of three, with the Grand Master as Chairman, be appointed to draft a Constitution and general Laws, to be presented at the next meeting ofthe Grand Lodge, also that the Grand Master be authorized to procure a suitable Seal for the Grand Lodge. The following are the names of said committee: A. N. Miller, E. Parsons, and G. Butler.
On motion, Resolved, That the Grand Lodge tempora ily adopt the Rules and Regulations of the Grand Lodge of South Carolina, with the privilege of suspending such parts as may be deemed proper, and that the Regular Meetings therein mentioned be considered null and void.
