Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Proceedings of the British Meteorological Society, Vol. 1: 1861, November 20, to 1863, June 17
The First Volume of the Proceedings of the British Meteorological Society is now in the hands of Members, and will itself explain better than words can do the plan which the Council have endeavoured to carry out. Their wish has been that each successive Number of the Proceedings should appear as soon as possible after the day on which the Meeting was held to which the Number refers. The publication is not only intended to place before Members the election-lists and the papers read, but to call their attention to books published.
