Parapsychology is a science made controversial by its subjects: extrasensory perception, psychokinesis (mind over matter) and disembodied minds, which imply life after death. Moreover, these parapsychological phenomena (called "psi") challenge physicalism, the philosophy that everything can be completely understood in terms of physics.
