Publisher's Synopsis
A full length comedy drama play script in two acts;
Pearl's hopes for her August Bank Holiday come to nothing; driving her to despair when the neighbours are accidentally locked out of their house and ask to borrow Pearl's kitchen to complete a baking order for the women's institute; thus nearly burning the place down. Neil is secretly hiding in Pearl's house from his over-protective mother. Pearl's father's strange toilet paper habits lead to unpleasant lavatorial blockages. And as a consequence, the inhabitants of the close believe there is a serious communal drain blockage, prompting Pearl and her husband Jim, to invite the residents of their close to use their amenities as an emergency measure for the weekend. This leads to unbearable tensions and explosive home truths sprout from all directions. But can Pearl and Jim save their holiday time and their marriage before it's too late?
