There were hard-working people in the community I called home. We had a school undergirded with strong moral values and teachers who upheld often even Biblical principles and believed in honesty, forgiveness and integrity for the most part. Most of us knew that if we got into trouble at school, we were surely going to face trouble at home! Courtesy and respecting others were standards of life and they were enforced in most homes, businesses and activities.
