Even back in the 1980's life in Manhattan wasn't cheap, especially for Tommy Gallagher, a middle class guy struggling to keep up with his wealthier friends. His circumstances seem to take a turn for the better when he opens an "Outlaw Night Club" in an abandoned building in Tribeca. One thing leads to another as his crew stumbles across the first wave of the Ecstasy craze. They start moving volume and making money, and Tommy's situation seems to turn around over night. The stakes really start to escalate when he comes to the attention of powerful gangsters who want to sponsor him, and he begins to make choices that push him further and further away from conventional society. From the tough streets of New York, to the swamps and beaches of South Florida, Tommy Gallagher searches for redemption and a new identity, as he tries to escape the Irish and Italian Mafias who think they own him, and avoid the Russian mob who want to kill him.In some neighborhoods growing up is just hard to do.
