Setting out from the 88th parallel, where the legendary expedition led by Ernest Shackleton had to abandon its mission 100 years ago, five people set out on foot towards the South Pole and must overcome three difficult and transcendental challenges: collect samples from the central part of Antarctica in order to analyze the effects of industry on the planet, survive inclement weather and personal difficulties in order to arrive at their destination before forced evacuation in the beginning of winter, and prove that oftentimes the inability to accomplish something is more of a mental obstacle than physical one.
