What is poetry? Is it just a bunch of meaningless words strung together in well-crafted prose, deliberately crafted to elicit deep visceral responses? Is it an abstraction, something illusory? Or does its emotional outpouring and affectation upon the reader translate into something more real, perhaps a deeper understanding and connection to the greater world around us?The hell if I know. Honestly, I just like writing poetry. If you're looking for a book of prose designed to satisfy your hunger for an emotive and cathartic experience, I can't guarantee that this is the manuscript for you. On the other hand, if you seek a truly awesome experience, something akin to watching Nicolas Cage with sword and shield, fighting off a horde of radioactive penguins while riding a giant robotic raccoon which can shoot laser beams out of its eyes, then this is for you. Because like Regina George's mom, I'm not like a regular poet, I'm a cool poet. So, if you think you have what it takes to devour this work, then please, be my guest. I hope you enjoy it as much as I loved writing it.
