Publisher's Synopsis
This History helper notebook is designed to be used to review and remember some simple facts about an assortment of historical people, places, and events.
Feel free to use it with your favorite classical homeschool curriculum, or use it as a freestanding history aid. Use the people and events listed on each page as a jumping off point to do some research and then jot down a few facts, draw a picture, color and add on to the drawings that have been started, even practice some cursive handwriting. The options are endless!
Some more fun ways to use this book are:
- Have a parent write down the important information for the child to know for each prompt, and then the child can copy it - therefore learning history and practicing handwriting at the same time
- Use sidewalk chalk
- Mold an action scene out of clay or putty
- Make a comic strip
- Draw with sparkly gel pens
- Paint
- Glue rhinestones, beads, and feather to the pages to decorate your creations
- copywork
History is can be a story come to life! Help your, or your child's, brain retain the stories and important facts by keeping it memorable. Make it interesting and memorizing becomes a breeze. When we learn from the past, we can do better and not make the same mistakes our predecessors did.
This little notebook journal is specifically designed to target 24 events from the medieval time period, up thru 1994. Or, Modern History. It is geared to the creativity (and simplicity) of children in elementary school, but anyone with a little spunk and interest can have some fun with this! It is not meant to be an in depth study, but rather a way to learn the basics and then delve in where desired, or at another time.
