Publisher's Synopsis
Playing With Words & Other Things does just what it says. It is a pick 'n' mix of prose, poems, puns, posers, parables, parodies, paradoxes and piss-takes paraded in no particular order. There is some irony, a bit of euphony and a fair portion of nostalgia (although we are told that's not what it used to be!) The author has been a weather man, a police officer, a pub landlord and a Town Clerk all of which occupations have helped to develop his sense of fun and have provided some rich sources of humour. The book has been written with the intention that every page should bring a chuckle, a smile, a nod of agreement or at the very least a groan. Why not buy it together with the author's equally successful follow-up 'Playing With Words Again' also available from Amazon.
