Plants are Awesome is written in four parts: Part I presents an introduction and historical background. Part II tells numerous stories about people and the relationship they had with their plants, from early man to the present day. Part III covers local (Cincinnati) horticultural history. Part IV covers recent developments in horticulture and takes a look at the twenty-first century for what may happen in the future. There are eleven appendices with timelines, plant origins, types of plants, and learning points for each chapter. A bibliography is also included.
