Publisher's Synopsis
This book tells the story of events and milestones in Mihail's life, starting with his childhood. By the time he was seven, Mihail and his parents had moved house several times; his father had been an oil engineer overseeing oil wells in Prahova Valley. With a positive tone Mihail tells the story of how during the racist restrictions against Jews in Romania between 1940 and 1944, there arose a unique opportunity for youngsters to make the best of a bad situation. Although excluded from all state education they embraced learning within their community. Mihail found and developed a real passion both for architecture and, as Professor, for the teaching of Theory of Architecture, passion which inspired hundreds of students through the years.
