Publisher's Synopsis
Pictures in the Stars is part of the Key Skills strand (High Frequency Words) of Cambridge Reading. It is a report-type text which asks children what shapes they can see in the constellations. The language is simple with repetition of high frequency words - ideal for young readers in the Foundation stage (aged 4). There are 20 non-fiction books in the High Frequency Words strand, which provide a comprehensive resource for teaching the 45 NLS high-frequency words. The words are introduced in the context of real texts through three different text types - 'I remember' (recount), 'how to' (instruction) and 'find out about' (report).
