Publisher's Synopsis
'The Photographic Collection' was established as an independent department in the Museum Folkwang in 1979. It was based on the collection Otto Steinert had brought together between 1959 and 1978. Today, the collection comprises nearly 60,000 photographs by 1,300 photographers from the 19th to the 21st centuries.
