Publisher's Synopsis
Peter Pan in Everland tells a story of the Kindly children on an adventure to their first day of school. At the bus stop, they meet Peter, who is trying to find his way to Everland Primary and his playmates, the Complex Kids. As they help Peter find his way, the Kindlys meet an exciting cast of characters, and learn to appreciate both friend and foe by taking time to better know others and understand everyone's unique experience of life.
By retelling classics with inclusive casts of characters in diverse circumstances, authors and co-founders of Inclusive Impact Initiative, Andrea Lynn Piazza and Nicole Warren, aim to create a new set of fairy tale heroes for our children. Both dancers turned social-justice-advocates, the authors understand the profound impact of seeing characters of all abilities taking part in the stories we already know and love. The first book in their Inclusive Classics collection, Peter Pan in Everland introduces neurodiverse and differently-abled characters who all communicate and explore the world in their own ways.
