Publisher's Synopsis
This volume brings together considerations by German and Polish legal scholars on the perspectives of information law in their respective national legal systems and at the European level. In a first block, the investigations are devoted to basic structural problems of national information law, such as the balance between freedom of information and data protection, the information law references of administrative procedural law and private contributions to or private use of state information infrastructures. A second block deals with current individual problems such as Google Street View or the informational basis of legislative processes. The final third block shows perspectives of European information law, including Union law and the law of the Council of Europe.
