William T. Hey grew up between the small towns of Robeline and Marthaville, Louisiana. Perplexing Perceptions is his fifth poetry book. He has also written a true story about his high school basketball team titled The Hawks Last Flight: Our Quest for a Championship, a fiction novel titled Death of College Life and a children's book titled Puddin' The Chocolate Lab. This collection of poems contains a variety of topics related to observations, witticisms, insight, and point of view of situations in life. The poems in Perplexing Perceptions are tenets of factual, fictional, and imagined events or situations. He typically writes about a variety of things that stimulate interest in his wandering thoughts. He is a university professor and when not teaching, researching or writing he enjoys a variety of outdoor activities.
