Publisher's Synopsis
Performance analysis is a key issue in the engineering approach to the control of water supply and distribution systems. This work presents a systematic approach to the analysis of performance, based on the establishment of standardized measures.;The book analyzes key areas of water networks' behaviour and suggests improvements on the analysis and modelling procedures that are currently available. It also identifies relevant and standardized performance measures, including hydraulic parameters, physio-chemical water quality parameters, and reliability and redundancy levels of the network. The work is illustrated by case studies.
