Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. With help from the Roman Catholic Archdiocese in Miami, Operation Peter Pan was an operation coordinated by the United States government and individuals in the Cuban community. Over 14,000 children were sent to Miami without their parents from 1960 to 1962 amidst rumors in Cuba that children of parents considered to be enemies of the state would be sent to Russian work camps. This book details the operation and some of the famous Pedro Pan children. Project Webster represents a new publishing paradigm, allowing disparate content sources to be curated into cohesive, relevant, and informative books. To date, this content has been curated from Wikipedia articles and images under Creative Commons licensing, although as Project Webster continues to increase in scope and dimension, more licensed and public domain content is being added. We believe books such as this represent a new and exciting lexicon in the sharing of human knowledge.
