Publisher's Synopsis
Text in German. In this volume, Johannes Kubik analyzes the reception of Paul Tillich's theology in religious education. In particular, he focuses on the perception of Tillich's central theological terms "religion", "correlation" and "symbol". The study also examines Tillich's texts in which Tillich himself expressed religious education. Tillich's early theology of justification or the Protestant principle turns out to be the theological basis of these religious educational texts, which is therefore also subjected to a detailed analysis systematically and theologically. On the one hand, this results in new perspectives on Tillich's theology. On the other hand, the study suggests corrections to the previous Tillich reception and opens up new perspectives on its importance for religious education today.
