This innovative approach transcends a wide range of subjects and genres and reflects his traditional photographic heritage of plate cameras and exclusively black-and-white imagery.
The joy of the imagery in these pages is deeply embedded in Smith's ability to present the subject in its essential form. Pathways comes full circle to embrace Smith's original photographic passions that began at the start of his artistic journey almost fifty years ago when Smith was a teenager.
