Publisher's Synopsis
Most books on contact dermatitis contain lists of allergens and recommendations for patch testing. De Groot, co-author of the successful series Unwanted Effects of Cosmetics and Drugs Used in Dermatology, has now compiled the first all-inclusive list of substances which may cause contact dermatitis and how to test whether or not this is the case. In addition, lists are provided of chemicals which have caused photosensitivity, contact urticaria and patch test sensitization. Of more than 2800 substances the recommended patch test concentrations and vehicles are given, in tabular format, supplemented with comments where indicated. All source literature is referenced, including the 1986 "Contact Dermatitis" by A.A. Fisher, 3rd Edition.
