Publisher's Synopsis

It is Pakistan in the year 2000 and three young men need to make decisions about their future after school. When Kashif's father is murdered by religious fanatics, he continues his education in England and questions his lifelong training in the Quran. Devout Muslims, Siddiq and Adnan, are mesmerised by the charmingly persuasive Islamic militant, Uthman, as he assembles the youth at their Karachi mosque. By creating guilt, fear and confusion on the one hand, and a strong desire for the ample rewards of Paradise on the other, Uthman attempts to lure as many youths as possible into joining 'The Army of Mohammad' - an Islamic terrorist movement with strong links to the Taliban. Siddiq is not convinced, but Adnan is adamant - he wants the milk, honey, seventy-two virgins and eternal life in Paradise, as promised by Allah to all who obey him. We follow their stories as each goes their way.
