Publisher's Synopsis

New Mexico Artist Bobby Jones decided to title this art series in French to honor his French ancestry. The story behind this art series starts in 1999 when Bobby bought his first house in Cathedral City, CA on Rango Rd. One morning, he woke up, walked into his office/art room, looked out the window, and saw the palm trees on his street. Bobby started drawing and sketching palm trees. Then Jones decided to stop working on this art series until he found them just recently while organizing his artwork in his house in Albuquerque, NM. Bobby dedicates this art series to his whole family especially his brother Toney Jones, who was born in Hawaii. Bobby remembers seeing my first palm tree in Austin, Texas while his parents and Bobby were visiting his sister and her partner in the 1980s. Bobby has loved palm trees ever since that visit to Austin, TX. Bobby is forever reminded of Joyce Kilmer's poem, Trees. This art series is created with color markers, crayons, and color pencils on 18"X 24" sheets of paper. This art series contains 9 pieces. Palm trees seem to dance and sway spiritually in nature.
