My name is Brie, and now I'm a full member of Cayden's pack. We're responsible for protecting our town's borders from the Savage Wolves, evil shifters who have no regard for human life. Cayden's vow to protect human life is as strong as his need to protect me. But I don't like being protected. I don't need it. I'm not that weak human girl I was before. But then the Savages infect a student, ensuring a new plague at the full moon. We have a week to figure out how to stop it. In light of the new danger, Cayden's emotional scars rise to the surface. Guilt over losing his family, and most of all, fear for me. And his wounds run deeper than I imagined, waiting for me to untangle them.
