This textbook on anatomy covers the thorax, abdomen and pelvis. As in the first volume, chapters on systematic thinking about tissues and on medical imaging open the book.;The main part of the work is divided into seminars, each requiring 2 to 3 hours' study. Thoracic, abdominal, pelvic and perineal organs are treated, with a brief introduction to their development. The work includes standard radiographs and endoscopic views of organs showing both normal anatomy and anatomy disturbed by disease. A section is devoted to cross-sectional anatomy as revealed by CT scans and surface projections of the systems are stressed.;Each seminar also contains questions designed to enable readers to monitor the progress of their understanding.;The work is designed to be of value to medical students and physiotherapists.
